I get it, it's a puzzle game and they need to make money, but this just makes the game frustrating and boring. Too many levels, even easy ones, have gotten super difficult, where you can't win unless you burn a ton of coins. Used to enjoy/play to relax but they've made it annoying. but none in years? Why advertise the game to look one way, but that's not at all what the game actually is or what it looks like.
They just went on about algorithms and whatnot. Customer support was absolutely no help at all with that. I see ads for this game all the time showing the mini-game puzzles (pull the pin, unblock the river, etc). I haven't had a mini-game in several years (and several thousand levels). As someone who greatly enjoys the decorating aspect, at this point, it just feels like a waste of time and stars. I'm currently level 5100, and for some time now, most decorations are game default without any options to choose between. My complaint derives from the fact that the further you progress in the game, the fewer customization options you are given. I enjoy the puzzles, and I don't mind spending time to pass a difficult level. I no longer even like either game and only play bc I have so much time/$ investe. I actually started playing for relaxation and enjoyment of the decorating schematics. It appears that the higher levels require either days of frustration or spending money. Time for me to uninstall both Homescapes and Gardenscapes. I'm currently on a level that is just as difficult but I have no intention on buying anything else. Spent close to $20 + every single reward booster to pass level 1697.
